Saw these a little while back. OK so they are tagged as Seleucid Companion Cavalry, but I wonder if they could serve purpose, as Pyrrhic Guard Cavalry? So now I have a dilemma, do I go ahead and order these rather lovely figures, or do I hang on until Aventine release their version? Decisions, decisions!!
Hi,
ReplyDeleteI think you'd be best waiting; the arm defences are a) definitely later and b) very Seleucid!
Adam's promised to do some cavalry soon. He's working on EIR in mail at the moment, to be followed by Thorakitai, then the cavalry (as best I understand things).

Craig
Ps I need the cavalry for a demo game at Partizan in May of Heraclea. The aventine boys are also involved and we're going to look silly without cavalry!

I guessed as much, was hoping to shoehorn the Relic models in, but could see the armour would give the game away a bit. At least the decision is made now, I'll hang on for Aventine.
ReplyDeleteLooking forwards to seeing your game in May. Have you made some anti-Elephant wagons!!?
One of the advantages of Heraclea is that we don't need any ;-)

Ahhhhh, yes, nothing to stop you stomping around with your Lucanian Oxen :-]] Romans next on my hitlist, then its Syracuse and some Early Carthaginians, trying to find an excuse for making them some four hourse chariots, but I think they had fallen into disuse by the time of Pyrrhus.
ReplyDeleteDid plenty if Rimans for the SOA Zama game. Just doing some leves to replace velites at the moment. I draw the line at replacing princepes with pila cos they should have spears. Check progress at
